The Burn

So, it is the typical weekend, we have friends over and my husband is grilling out on the deck! I am in charge of garlic potatoes (that I decided last minute to do in the oven so that he had more room on the grill and they would finish earlier), corn on the cob and home made coleslaw. Everything is about complete, I take the potatoes out of the oven and bam! The pan touches part of my fore arm! Having guests, the tears cannot flow and neither can the language:) (I am a lady afterall!) So, I quickly run upstairs and grab my lavender and frankicense. I went without a carrier and applied the lavender and frankincense immediately and, the "burn" stops. My thought, stop the scar and the blister that is going to follow! The evening continues, but the burn does not return. I thought for sure I would be under a faucet of cold water most of the night! The red mark however continued to get darker. I applied more frankincense and lavender, this time with a carrier and massaged it into my arm. The next morning, no pain, just a dark red line that seemed to grow bigger over night. More lavender and more Frank. A blister never appeared. I even spoke with a friend who is also an EMT who noticed the mark and he commented on the fact that it looked like 2nd-3rd degree burns. He said, "That is going to take months to heal". This was on a day 2, we are now on day 3. Applying lavender and frankincense 3 times a day, I can already see that it is already smaller and the skin does seem to be trying to scab slightly, but it is healing! And remarkable, so far there is not any pain to touch it. AMAZING! I love my oils! Lavender is such an amazing oil... hence the name of this page:)
